Learn how to authenticate your Twilio account in WhatsApp Connector for Jira with these four steps.

StepPictureDetails

Step one:

Authenticate With Twilio

To authenticate Twilio:

  1. Insert Twilio Account SID
  2. Twilio Auth Token
  3. Phone Complete Number in E.164 formatted phone number example (+14155238886).

You will find this data in the Twilio Account dashboard or console.

Step two:

Select Request Type

Choose the type of request for the issues that will be created by the WhatsApp Connector for Jira add-on.

Step three:

Select Resolution Status

Select a resolution status from the list, so the add-on can mark the issue as resolved.

When an issue status fits the selected resolution status and the user sends a new WhatsApp message, his message will be transferred into a new Jira issue.

Step four:

Confirmation

Once everything is in order, click 'save' and the JSM project will be linked to your Twilio Account.

Be sure you add the webhook URL to your Twilio account to start receiving new WhatsApp messages as Jira tickets.

Head to Where to Find Your Twilio Credentials and Where to Find Your Webhook to get the necessary credentials.
