How to Enable Browser Desktop Notification

Overview

This page will cover how a user can enabled notifications on both Chrome & Firefox to be able to receive desktop notifications while using In App & Desktop Notification for Jira.

Chrome

1. Right-click the icon on the top left beside the URL.
2. Then select Ask (default) beside the notification item.
3. Click anywhere outside the popup window.
4. Then click on a blue Reload button.
5. Then a new popup window will appear at the top left of the browser click on Allow.

FireFox

1. Click on the icon on the top left beside the URL.
2. Click on the gear icon on the Permission section.
3. A new tab will open click on Settings at the right of the Notification Item.
4. Search for your web site.
5. Then click on the dropdown menu on the status menu and selection allow.
6. Click on Save Changes at the lower right of the dialog.
7. Go back to your Jira instance and reload the page.
